Cooley Elementary Magnet School has been ranked the #1 elementary school in Louisiana for 3 consecutive years, and has consistently ranked in the top 10 of all elementary schools in the state of Louisiana. T.S. Cooley has also been named a Top Gains Honoree and Equitee Honoree by the Louisiana Department of Education.

T.S. Cooley Elementary Magnet School was named a Nationally Certified Magnet School by Magnet Schools of America. The magnet focus at T.S. Cooley is art integration.

T.S. Cooley Elementary Magnet School has been named a Leader in Me Lighthouse School for effectively teaching leadership and life skills students can use to thrive in the 21st century. T.S. Cooley has also been named a Leader in ME school of Academic Distinction.
